ATS is one of five programs approved by the Regional Water Control Board to generate Annual Reports for the Dairy General Order. We have had a lengthy relationship with the water board and they know how our program runs and tracks data. By plugging in animal type, housing type, operation type, and operation practices, ATS can predict how much solid and liquid manure waste is generated.
This allows a producer to forecast how many acres and what crop rotations they will need to farm as well as how much material they will have to export off-site. We follow this portion of the equation at the end of each year to see what was actually applied and exported. This functionality can also assist to see the potential tons of solid manure exported and the profitability of those exports.
